Flatlander 5km
A fun and accessible 5km run on mostly paved road, along with a small section of gently inclining trail. Great for beginners, and anyone who wants to take in the breathtaking Mount Robson scenery at a more relaxed pace.



Flatlander 5km
The Flatlander 5K run takes takes racers from the start-finish at the Mount Robson Visitor Centre and along the Robson River. The turn-around point is before the base of the first climb up “Avalanche Hill”. It is a great first-timers event that still takes in the spectacular scenery of Mount Robson.
The Flatlander 5K has minimal elevation gain. The first 2km (approximately) take runners from the towering view of Mount Robson at the start-finish along a flat paved road to the Robson River crossing at the Berg Lake trailhead. Then runners start up a wide low grade section of the Berg Lake Trail for half a kilometre to the turn around point. Then they head back to the finish line.

• Just under 2km flat paved road to Berg Lake trailhead (Water and Gatorade Aid Station, 15m elevation gain in 2km)
• About 500m gradual climb on trail along Robson River through cedar rain forest to the turn around point before the base of “Avalanche Hill” (turn around point)
